The title is a mouth full, feel free to shorten it to just "crack brussels". I'd have made that the actual title if I didn't feel like that would create some SEO issues. But seriously, crack brussels. Thanksgiving is TODAY and we all know the table staples are turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, but that doesn't mean we can't mix things up with those dry veggie sides we love to hate. So I say, make Thanksgiving sides great again!
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 15 MINUTES
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
4 Cups Brussel Sprouts (washed and halved)
2 Cups Bacon (diced)
3 TBSP. Maple Syrup (honestly, just drizzle and dont worry about being precise)
1 TSP. Sirracha (again, this isn't an exact science, if you like it spicy, add more)
Pre-heat oven to 350F or 170C
In a medium size pan, sauté diced bacon until golden brown. Remove bacon and spread them evenly on a baking sheet to the side.
In the same pan, sauté halved brussel sprouts in bacon grease until browned. Once browned, drizzle maple syrup and Sirracha over the brussel sprouts and mix together. Once throughly mixed, remove sprouts from the stove and spread them on the same baking sheet as the bacon.
Place brussel sprouts in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until loose pieces begin to crisp.
