Journeys far and wide with tips, advice, and obviously photos!

I travel a lot. Something I never thought I'd say, because before 2013, I'd never left the USA. Since meeting my British husband, we have traveled a lot to see each other and also since being together. Because I now live in the UK, it's a lot easier (and cheaper!) to see other parts of Europe. I've had the change to visit Paris, the South of France, both mainland Spain and Spanish islands, Italy, Ireland, Bermuda, Amsterdam an...

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Bermuda for a close friend's wedding. If you're not 100% sure where Bermuda is, its about 655 miles south-east of North Carolina and only a 1.5 hour flight from NYC (what?!). I wasn't quite sure what to expect since this is my first true island vacay. There were hoops to jump through regarding passports and last minute flight plans, but in the end SO WORTH IT. Bermuda is a GREAT desti...

Someone once told us "the baby has to come into YOUR life, not you come into theirs" meaning you have to go on with your life as close to the way it was before having children as possible, which can sometimes seem a lot easier said than done when it comes to things like travel. Still, we put all our pending stress aside and booked flights from the UK to the US to visit my family. Packing alone can induce a lot of anxiety, cons...

Winter in New York is magical. It's truly every scene from every Christmas movie ever set in NYC. The crisp air has made us forget all about those sweaty subway rides from the summer past and the first dusting of snow over Central Park begins to melt our cold New Yorker souls. While winter everywhere else can be fairly miserable, in NYC it comes with a whole list of new activities  we've been waiting all year for.

I get a...

Maybe it was Ed Sheeran's new song "Barcelona" or maybe it was all of the beautiful Gaudi Architecture (and red wine), but Barcelona Spain officially has a place in my heart. These are my must-do's and more importantly, MUST EATS for 3 days in Barcelona.

Maybe you've heard of the architect and genius Gaudi, maybe you haven't. I'll be honest, I didn't know who he was until looking into this trip. Regardless, his wor...

Italy, a country that's been at the very top of my "to-travel" list since before I can even remember. After spending a week in southern Italy, I am breaking my trip into several parts (check back later to see where else I went). First stop, Capri and the 5 things you MUST DO while you're there!

1. Take a boat tour
This is hands down the number one piece of advice I can give you for your trip to Capri, so don't regret it and MAK...

Let me start by saying, France is always a good idea. I love the French for their overwhelming appreciation for aesthetics, not just in fashion, but in their architecture and general lifestyle. Literally everything is beautiful. My first French experience was New Years 2015 in Paris, which I will save for another post another time, but it was great to see that those same beautiful qualities so famously seen in Paris, are also...

6 "Must-do's" in San Diego that don't include Sea World

San Diego will always hold a special place in my heart, as this is where I am from originally. So when my close friend from New York decided to move out West, it was the perfect excuse to come back for a "home-town" visit. This was the first time I'd been back since moving in 1998! Here's my share on places I think you can't miss.

In-N-Out Burger

First things first-...

Traveling can be stressful, especially if you're a rookie. Take it from a girl who hadn't left the US for the first time until 2013. I have also dreaded and avoided layovers like some kind of plague. Luckily, traveling is like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. Since meeting, dating, and marrying my British husband, I have spent a lot more miles in the sky, and therefore have eased the anxiety of traveli...

Incase you're not sure where Cornwall is, it's a county on England's Southwestern tip with hundreds of beaches, cliffs, and charming towns where the seafood, cheese, and fudge are all you can dream about. It holds a special place in my heart, as this is where my husband and I got engaged in October 2015. It's been over a year since my last visit so I was very excited to go back and see even more than I did the first time!
